An Urgent need

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
 
Last week our brother clergy, Jim Peterman, the pastor at my home church, Baldwyn UMC, lost one of his grandchildren in Texas to a tragic accident.  At these times the most important and helpful thing that we can do to help is by lifting him and his family up in prayer.  In addition to the spiritual work of prayer, there may also be temporal needs that we can help address.  The costs of a funeral can often be high, even more so if there is no burial insurance.  I’m writing to ask you to prayerfully consider sending a contribution to help defray some of those costs.  You can make your check out to the New Albany District and put the word “Peterman” in the for line.  The address for the District Office is PO Box 686, New Albany, MS 38652.  I hope you will join me in helping defray these costs at the most tragic and difficult of times in this families life.  Pray about this and pray for them.  It is my joy to be a partner in ministry with each of you.  I remain,
