Weekly Devotion

Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 106:1 NKJV
As we are fast approaching Thanksgiving, many times our thoughts go to the things
that are important to us. As I was browsing through a recently opened store in the
area this past week, my attention was drawn to a white ceramic jar that had notes
to write the things for which one was thankful. I left it on the shelf but the more
I have thought about it, I may go back and get it. I need to be intentional with
giving God thanks for my blessings. While we all have many things
that impact our lives for the better and we are thankful that we have these things,
may we think about God’s mercy. We are transformed by God’s mercy. The guilt
that has been so heavy on our mind and heart, God’s mercy sets us free from it.
Sometimes we run out of certain items and we need to restock. God never
runs out of mercy and His mercy will endure for all generations. This is
good news!
Prayer: Father, we thank you that your mercy is available every day.
Thank you for every blessing that is in our lives. Thank you Lord for
loving us first. Amen.
