Special Called District Conference

March 04 2020

Dear Friends,

This is to officially notify you that the Senatobia District of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church will hold a special called District Conference. The District Conference will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Senatobia United Methodist Church. It will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.

The sole purpose of this called District Conference is to elect six equalizing members of the Annual Conference and three alternates in case any of the six elected members are not able to attend. The District Conference is open to all members of the United Methodist Church, but only Lay Members of Annual Conference elected at the most recent charge conference for the charge/church will be eligible to vote.

We are requesting that the clergy of the Senatobia District and all persons who were elected Lay Members of Annual Conference from their charge/church make an effort to attend this special called District Conference to elect the equalizing members. No other business will be before the district conference.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the district office.

Your servant in Christ,

Rickey L. Haynes

District Superintendent

Senatobia District

P.S. The attachment to this message  is the spreadsheet that contains the lay members to annual conference that are currently in the database.  Please check the name listed for your church/charge...that is who is receiving the notice concerning the March  22nd  District Conference and all information regarding annual conference.  If the person listed is incorrect or if your lay person is not on this spreadsheet, you need to let me know so we can avoid more confusion at conference!

Thanks for your help

Cheryl
