Hebrews 2:1-4 & 20-21
“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore to what we have heard, so that we don’t drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, who was confirmed to us by those who have heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders, and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will” ~~NIV version
We don’t always pay close attention to what our Lord says. Often times we hear him calling us and not realize it is him grabbing our attention! Speaking from personal experience I would read a passage in my Bible and if I feel that it is important, I will highlight it. There was one passage a while back that was read in church and I have heard or read this passage before. It wasn’t until later that I had realized I had it highlighted. I look at this as a sign for me to pay attention to my surroundings.
I find that there are many ways that our Lord speaks to us. Most of the time He sends answers by prayers and signs all around us. It’s the small things that we don’t pay attention too. I leave you with this thought for the week how often do we recognize and know when our Lord is speaking to us?
“May the God of Peace who through the blood of eternal covenant brought back from the dead, our Lord Jesus, that the great shepherd pf the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will and may he work in us what is to pleasing him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever Amen.”
