DESOTO COUNTY UM CLUSTER

                                                                   March 17, 2021

Dear Cluster Member,

After about a year of not meeting because of the COVID pandemic, we are finally going to have a meeting!

The meeting will be SUNDAY, APRIL 18, 2021, AT PLEASANT HILL UMC AT 2:30 IN THE AFTERNOON.

Our program will be presented by Jennifer Garrott from the Methodist Hospital, Olive Branch. She will talk about the COVID virus and the Methodist hospital.

We will meet in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill UMC, and we will have no refreshments.  We will have some time to visit and catch up with each other since it’s been so long that we’ve been together.

Our project for April is to provide men’s socks for Matthew 51 project in which Greg Hazelrig and members of his church visit with homeless people in Memphis every week giving them food and clothes.  They especially are in need of men’s socks every week.  Please get your congregation to bring packs of men’s socks to your church every Sunday until April 18 so you can bring lots of socks to the Cluster meeting.  I plan to get a pack of men’s socks to put in a basket by the entrance to my church to remind everyone to contribute.  We want to be able to give Greg lots of socks for this important mission.

We always pass the hat at Cluster meetings.  Anybody in your church is invited to the Cluster meetings so please extend the invitation.  We hope we have a big attendance for our first meeting after “the lock-down”.

We appreciate your continuing interest and support of the Cluster which consists of all the United Methodist churches in Desoto County.

Looking forward to seeing you April 18.
