Batesville First UMC Missions

This year for Missions in May, Batesville First UMC participated in a local missions event called Socks of Love. This event started with a Lenten offering in the Children's Ministry. The children raised $1700 to purchase supplies for Socks of Love. This offering purchased socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand lotion, chapstick, a handwritten note and more. The goal was to stuff socks with some treats and take them to our local nursing homes as well as our homebound church members! On Saturday, May 6th church members gathered together to stuff 175 pairs of socks, then distributed them in the community!
