2022 Mississippi Annual Conference Virtual Laity Executive Session

Hello, Mississippi Annual Conference!

This is LaToya Redd Thompson, the Mississippi Annual Conference Lay Leader, writing to invite you to the board of laity-sponsored annual informational session for the laity Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The session will be virtual again this year. So, hopefully, you can attend!

We will discuss the work of conference committees, such as the district realignment task force and the vital congregations committee. We will also hear words offered from Bishop Swanson during his last time with us.

We will discuss and celebrate ministry that has gone on in our districts and throughout our conference through the lens of the #BeUMC campaign. Additionally, we will discuss updates on Jurisdictional and General Conference.

In preparation for the session, please review the agenda beforehand.
